A few of our Ela Township officials, including Trustee Chris Bos, Assessor John Barrington and Highway Commissioner Bill Kruckenberg, attended the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce Local Legislative Breakfast at Kemper Lakes Golf Club on Nov. 30. We were so pleased to hear such positive feedback about Ela Township’s programs and services!
An important mission of Ela Township is helping to fill the gaps in services our local villages do not offer or provide on a limited basis. This includes our award-winning senior services and programs offered through Ela Township 55+ and our mental health services provided by our social worker Susan Fackler and her staff at Ela Community Family Services.
Mental health is a huge concern that deserves much more attention and local resources. Ela Township works diligently to meet the needs of residents in this capacity. Our licensed social work staff works around the clock to provide crisis intervention, counseling, case management, emergency assistance, referrals and much more. We also work closely with the local police departments, including the Village of Lake Zurich Police Department, to respond to the most vulnerable among us and those who have been victimized.
Our Highway Department is also proud to be able to provide general public works services to some of the local villages, including snow plowing for the Village of Deer Park.
Such collaborative efforts strengthens our communities and brings us closer together. If you’d like to learn more about Ela Township’s programs and services, please visit us at www.elatownship.org and like us on Facebook!
