Community Center: Part Time Staff
Position Summary:
Assist in a variety of office duties including but not exclusively, registrations, payments and month end reconciliations. The candidate MUST also be able to attend Friday evening events twice a month. This position reports directly to the Community Programs Director.
Schedule:
Mondays & Tuesday: 8:30am – 12:30 p.m., Fridays 5:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m.; Average 8-10 hours weekly.
Essential Job Functions:
· Receive and process programming revenue and registration sheets to enter in the database.
· Assist with decorating the center and facilities for programming and events.
· Update Trip and Activity Reports, monthly financial reports, and attendance sheets
· Assist setting up tables and other needs for Lunch and Learns and other Program Events
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Must be PROFICIENT in Microsoft Suite; including, but not limited to Excel, Publisher, Word, Power Point and working with cloud-based programs.
· Patience in working with mature adults who may have limitations of hearing, eyesight, mobility and cognitive impairment.
· Ability to constructively work with a group of people with a variety of personalities.
· Skill in effectively responding to questions from managers, residents, elected officials and regulatory agencies.
Education, Experience, and Computer Skills:
· Experience in work setting and/or working in a team environment.
· Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements:
· Willingness to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as requested.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with reasonable accommodation.
· Must be able to sit, walk, stand, use fingers in a repetitive motion, twist and turn for long periods of time.
· The position may require some light lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of up to 20 pounds.
· Will require help in kitchen during events, including but not limited to washing dishes.
· May require the operation of a motor vehicle.

· This position is primarily executed indoors. However, it may require contact with outdoor weather at special event activity participation.
· Contact with low noise levels is common in an indoor working environment. Moderate to high noise levels may be experienced during certain activities.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $21.00 – $25.00 Per Hour.
Eligible Benefits: IMRF (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund), PTO, Sick Pay, Holiday Pay, 1 Floating Holiday.
