Safe@Home

Safe@Home is a 90-minute course designed for students in grades 4-6 to prepare them to be safe when they are home alone. Students will learn how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are also introduced to the Safe Sitter® First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses.

Class Dates:

Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 10:00am - 11:30am

Friday, May 16, 2025 from 2:30pm - 4:00pm

All classes need 6 participants to run.

Registration Information:

The class fee is $30. We are currently accepting cash, checks made payable to Ela Township, and credit cards (a 2.65% fee will be assessed to all credit card charges).

All classes will take place at the Ela Township Community Center located at 380 Surryse Road, Lake Zurich, IL.

In order to reserve a spot for your child, we kindly ask that you complete and return the Safe@Home Registration Form to the Ela Township Community Center located at 380 Surryse Rd., Lake Zurich. Once we receive the completed document and payment, your child’s spot will be reserved and you will receive a registration confirmation email within 48 hours.
