Ela Township facilities are open to the public from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday.  Masks are optional for all visitors and staff regardless of vaccination status.  For more information and resources on Covid-19, please click here.

Where do I find election information?

The Ela Township Clerk will post voting information on our website and on Facebook leading up to and during an election.  You can also visit www.lakecountyil.gov/161/County-Clerk.

Where do I vote?

You can early vote anywhere in Lake County where Early Voting is being held.  On election day you vote in your precinct at your polling place which can be found on your voters registration card.

How do I register to vote?

You can register to vote at Ela Town Hall with the Ela Township Clerk.  You must be a United States citizen, 18 years or older, and have two valid forms of I.D., one showing your current address.
