April 1, 2025 Consolidated Election

Early Voting will be available at many locations throughout Lake County March 17 - 31, 2025  (please check back for a location list, locations and hours are subject to change).  As a Lake County resident you can early vote at any early voting location in Lake County.  Vote by mail is also an option for residents.  Click here to access your personal voter registration record and request a mail in ballot.  Mail in ballots can be dropped in the mail or at any ballot drop box located at election sites throughout Lake County during early voting or on election day.

On Election Day, April 1, 2025, polls will be open from 6:00 a.m., to 7:00 p.m.  New this year, you can vote at any voting site in Lake County.

Voter registration is available online until March 16, 2025 via the State Board of Elections online portal.  A valid state of Illinois drivers license or state ID is required.

In person registration with a deputy registrar is available until March 4, 2025.

You must:

  • be a U.S. citizen,
  • be a resident of your precinct for 30 days before Election Day,
  • be 18 years old on or before Apr 1, 2025,
    AND
  • provide two forms of valid identificationBoth pieces of identification must show your current name, and one must show your current Lake County physical street address.

Grace period registration is available at any Early Voting Site and on Election Day when voting sites are open from March 17 - March 31.  You must register and vote at the same time.
