Handicap Placards:
Applications for a parking placard are available at the Supervisor’s Office and must be filled out and signed by your physician. The township can issue a placard for a 90-day period. If the placard is issued for a longer duration, the township can issue the 90-day permit first, then send your application to the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office.
Notary Service:
Staff will notarize your important papers free of charge.
LIHEAP:
The Illinois Low Income Home Energy Program (LIHEAP) assists eligible low-income households with their heating and cooling energy costs, bill payment assistance, energy crisis assistance, weatherization and energy-related home repairs. Ela Township Vehicle Stickers:
Vehicle stickers are not required by Ela Township, but are available at no charge as a convenience to residents in unincorporated areas.
General Financial Assistance/Emergency Financial Assistance:
Ela Township provides help to those in need of financial assistance, overdue rent, car repair (if employed), gas, electric, water bills. Applications are processed in accordance with the standards set by the Department of Public Aid and guidelines approved by the Supervisor. Coast2Coast RX Prescription Discount Card:
Ela Township offers residents the Coast2Coast RX card, a FREE prescription discount card that can benefit your entire family.
Plan Highlights:
- This card is accepted at over 59,000 pharmacies, including major chains and independent pharmacies.
- Over 60,000 different prescription medications included.
- Save up to 65 percent on brand name generics.
- Card applies to all family members, can be used as often as needed, and does not expire.
- Certain pet medications are also included through participating pharmacies.
Stop by the Supervisor’s office in Ela Town Hall at 1155 E. Route 22 in Lake Zurich to obtain your Coast2Coast Rx card or download the card at www.coast2coastrx.com. Click “Print Free Card” then choose “Ela Township” from the list of participating townships.
